Winter Rowing Training – Stithians Lake

August 17, 2011 Posted by AdamR in Latest News 2 comments

Winter rowing opportunities from October to March at Greenbank Falmouth Rowing Club, based at Stithians Lake. £60 for the six months. Singles, doubles, fours, quads, eights – come and work on your rowing technique and stay fit. 4 or 5 ergs for group training and some free weights. Ethos is all help out – coxing, mixing up the crews and helping each other train. There are some great fences on the site for practising your bunny hops!! as well as a 6 mile trail run to the dam and back for when the lake is too choppy for fine boats. I will be putting up a sign up sheet in the clubhouse for anyone interested – all levels from novice to elite – you’ll need to fill out a membership form and write a cheque payable to Greenbank Falmouth Rowing Club and pass it to me. Hope to see you there!
Any questions please contact Becky Lloyd-King (

Sounds like an excellent idea! Albeit rather energetic! What days will they be?

Sounds great, will be nice to get a little bit of culture for the winter months :) Looking forward to that one
